Diving Program

PADI courses from DSD to Divemaster

Lahami offers 3 diving programs; Leisure, Classic & Living the Passion

1.The Classic Program: 3 dives during daylight hours + night dive. First 2 dives are guided and the afternoon and night dive are for buddies to dive on their own.

2. The Leisure Program: 3 dives during daylight hours + night dive. This program has a later start (not guided). Normal dive times are 08:30 / 11:00 / 15:00. Booking on site and subject to availability.

3. Living the Passion: overnight night excursion to Satayah (Dolphin Reef) which includes 6 dives + a night dive on the outer Fury Shoals. Booking on site and subject to availability. More info >>

A typical day in Wadi Lahami (Classic Program):

departure around 0700hrs into the heart of the Fury Shoals for 2 dives
coffee, tea, cake are served on the RIB between dives
back to the village around 1200hrs for lunch
after lunch we dive our local reefs and return around 1630hrs
night dives start around 1900hrs (we do request divers bring their own torches)

Diving Equipment

SMB, dive computer and reg with second stage mandatory
please inform us in advance for any rental equipment requirements
for wetsuits and booties we will need to know your height & build plus foot size

Max Depth

RSDS doesn' t allow decompression diving and the maximum depth allowed is 30m
Only CMAS*** and Deep Diver Speciality/Technical divers can dive to 40m

Recreation and Activities:

Beach Volley Ball
Kite Surfing
Bird watching
Beach Buggy riding
Desert excursions (to be booked on site).

Facilities

Facilities include safes in the Reception. The Eco-diving Village has mobile connection. The provider is Mobinil. Important Notes

In some sea conditions the transfers by speed boat / RIB can be quiet physically demanding and are not suitable for people with back problems. Please bring a Cagoule / windcheater jacket with you to take on the RIB to protect you from the wind on your return journey.

All pre-booked packages (accommodation, diving package and transfer) listed on our rate sheet are including relevant charges such as 10% sales tax and 12% service charges. Extras on site (e.g. extra diving (days) on top of the package, cafeteria/ bazaar items, equipment rental, special transfer requests, desert trips, DVD purchase, etc.) are subject to 10% sales tax.
