Diving Program
The diving program of Red Sea Diving Safari is designed in a way that satisfies all divers from very experienced to less experienced. It offers unlimited house reef diving, truck dives, night dives, boat dives and speed boat dives to offshore reefs, as well as a 7-day boat-trip.
Not every one of the four locations of Red Sea Diving Safari offers the same program (see below).
Marine Highlights include: Oceanic White Tip (September- December), Scalloped Hammerheads and Manta (May-August) Dugong, Turtles, and Spinner Dolphins (all year long)
Lahami and Pioneer divers do not have a walk-in house reef like Shagra or Nakari.
Our diving program covers over 60 dive sites which are categorized into a “zoning system.” Each village features its own zoning system and refer to the relevant location page for full details.
- Zone A= house reef and shore dives accessible by mini-bus or RIB (standard diving package)
- Zone B= off-shore dive sites accessible by high-performance RIB (short range)
- Zone C= off-shore dive sites accessible by high-performance RIB (long range)
***Off-shore sites in Zone “B” and “C” are optional and to be paid on site. For further information about each location’s diving program refer to the location fact sheet.
Unlimited House Reef Diving
Shagra and Nakari are both situated in-front of a small bay (Marsa) with a sandy bottom. Our dive center is situated in-front of this bay which is the base of our unlimited diving set-up.
The bays where the Eco-diving Villages are situated have superb house reefs which are home to hundreds of marine life species and an excellent variety of soft and hard corals. These bays are shallow, starting from 1-10 meters in depth and slowly dropping as they reach the outside walls of 40-50m in depth.
*Unlimited house reef diving is available in Marsa Shagra Village and Marsa Nakari Village.
Important Note: Diving by boat/speedboat can only be booked on site because they are dependent on sea & weather conditions.
Information and reservation are available upon arrival at the reception and the excursions are payable on site.

Shore Dives
Our shore diving program is included as part of our standard unlimited diving package.- two guided dives per day by either mini-bus or RIB (Shagra & Nakari Village).

- Shagra departure: between 0700h-0800h in the morning & 1330h - 1400h in the afternoon
- Nakari departure: twice in the morning only.

- guide will give a briefing upon arrival at the site
Off-shore Diving
This program allows divers to explore off-shore reefs by high-performance speedboat in Zone “B” and “C”. Each one of our villages offers their own unique boat diving program that covers many famous off-shore reefs. Some of the more popular include Elphinstone, which can be reached in average 20 minutes from Shagra (according to wind conditions). From Nakari Village daily boat dives are going to Shaab Samadai, (a.k.a. Dolphin House) and takes about 30 minutes. These are two among a dozen other off-shore dive sites that we are covering from our 3 villages.Important Note: Diving by boat/speedboat can only be booked on site because they are dependent on sea & weather conditions.
Diving Excursions
Guests staying at Shagra/Nakari Village and Pioneer Divers can enjoy an over day/night excursion to dive the Fury Shoals, or join the Living the Passion program and meet the dolphins of Sataya reef.Information and reservation are available upon arrival at the reception and the excursions are payable on site.
