I would like to help protecting the Red Sea by joining eco-projects during my holiday.

Media Events

Being situated close to some of the best dive sites of the Marsa Alam area with an abundance of marine life, our locations are often used as a base for recording TV- documentaries mostly in connection with protection and preservation efforts. On this site, we will keep you updated on coming media events with and about RSDS.

Red Sea Diving Safari 20 Years of Adventure

2009 is a very special year for the Red Sea Diving Safari team as we celebrate our 20 year anniversary. To commemorate this special event we are pleased to present you with some sneak peak footage of our up-coming film. We are very fortunate to have received video footage from one of our guests taken nearly 19 years ago when the adventure all began. This footage and much more will soon be part of a video production dedicated to our 20 year anniversary and the eco-diving adventure. We want to thank our valued guests who witnessed this dream grow throughout the years. It is our valued guests and partners who have made the experience all that more special.

BBC Visits Marsa Shagra - May 2009

The Red Sea Diving Safari team is pleased to announce that we were visited by a BBC video team on May 16-18. Simon Frost is the host of this BBC television series which is due to air February 2010. This BBC special follows Simon as he travels world destinations along the Tropic of Cancer. Along his route he visits Shagra Village to learn about our eco-diving program and conservation efforts. Our C.E.O Hossam Helmy took him on a guided snorkeling trip to show him first hand our beautiful house reef and coral gardens. We hope our guests enjoy the program and continue to support our team efforts.

RSDS Sharkwise Promotional Video

RSDS team members discuss the new upcoming documentary film Sharkwise featuring Mark Sluczny and Dr. Erich Ritter. A lot of the underwater footage featured in the trailer was filmed at Elphinstone. We also present some of our own footage that we shot during the dive and our environmental manager talks about some pertinent issues. We encourage all our guests to go out and see Sharkwise.
