An Exclusive Visit to Wadi el Gemal Island
One of the most breathtaking sights in the southern Red Sea is the Wadi el Gamel Island. This site is part of the National Park and has been declared a protected area for many years. Not many people get the chance to visit this precious site, but the RSDS team in collaboration with the Red Sea Rangers organized a clean-up of the island on February 16, 2010.
The Red Sea Rangers are the enforcement arm of the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA). The invaluable work they are carrying out in the south will ensure that the southern Red Sea is protected from mass tourism and other serious environmental threats.
